In the wake of George Floyd's murder, protest and acts of civil disobedience sprung up around the country. I spent weeks documenting these gatherings. While in NYC I saw this interaction and immediately set to capture the moment. After jumping around I found the framing that I felt told the story and made the emotions present feel palpable.
