This is Mount Rushmore reimagined, with the actual original founding people of modern day America. A story that is well known but largely ignored is that of the indigenous people of the american continent.
This artwork dares to reimagine what a real historical monument would look like if it transformed to represent the people who were here prior to the creation of the United States.
The hope is that one day soon the wise elders will be revered and their ancient knowledge and guidance is followed.
The reality is the young descendants of many will have to carry on that ancestral knowledge into the future.
